Title. The Last Rainforest P
Medium. Mixed Media on Canvas
Dimensions. 11x14
Artist: @s3quy0ah
The Last Rainforest explores tension between what thrives and what fades. The painting presents a visual field, where a textural purple suggestive of the deep recesses of a forest collides with a field of filtered sunlight. The intersecting brushstrokes act as a psychological and structural force, for order and disruption. Their angularity suggests the sometimes architectural chaos of nature.
Shadows bleed into light, and the jungle is caught in flight.
Purple storms gather and weep,
Through broken branches sunbeams creep
The last rainforest is not a literal depiction but an emotional resonance of a disappearing. This canvas is an echo of landscapes vanishing layered with gestures that recall both foliage and shadow. The Last Rainforest occupies a space between nature’s resilience and its vulnerability to loss. While situated firmly in contemporary abstraction it asks the viewer to confront the intersections of beauty, fragility, and survival.
